it's recommended that your drill press arbor and chuck be changed out to a threaded arbor only.
Holesaw cutters can then be mounted directly. This will shorten the total distance from the quill to the cutter - eliminating much of the play that is normal in most drill presses.

Let your lathe do the driving. We’ve combined the NotchingBuddy™ with a vertical slide in a kit form that makes it possible to use your lathe as a notcher.
Attaches easily to a tool post or quick change on most common metal lathes.. Use your lathes’ carriage to either power-feed or hand-feed the tube into the
holesaw.
It’s an easy and precise way of making notches in tubing up to 2" in diameter.
The vertical height adjustment of the slide lets you align the tube easily with the
holesaw. And with this setup you can easily perform offset notches. The NB100 plate can be removed from the vertical slide so the slide can be used for other milling functions. .
